We are entering the season in which we celebrate Christmas, the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, as well as the stark beauty of winter, and various other holidays. Temperatures will be plummeting, and those of us who are unwilling to brave the frigid outdoors will cozy up inside our homes to craft and create! 😉
You and your kids (tweens and teens too!) are cordially invited to create with me via this Winter Wonderland Mixed Media Workshop! I have assembled lots of fun art projects together with some great crafts to decorate your home for the holiday season or give as Christmas gifts to loved ones.
Making time for art is so vital to you and your children. It is true that kids who are allowed to craft and create — whether painting, sculpting, drawing, journaling, or whatever their chosen art medium — not only experience the satisfaction of self-expression, but also learn to think and problem-solve in new ways.
Winter Wonderland is a 4-week e-Course which means classes will be taught via videos in a private, password-protected site. You can watch them on your own time and adjust them to fit your family’s schedule.

In this workshop for kids (ages 8 and up), teens, and moms too, we will be exploring and experimenting with various art forms including:

- Acrylic painting
- Watercolor painting
- Chalkboard art
- Collage art

And because we’re entering the holiday season, I’ll be including easy and beautiful handmade gifts to give, ideas for Christmas cards, and simple homemade Christmas decorations and ornaments to create.
This e-Course will be spread over four weeks, with detailed videos and supply lists of each project. Each unique art piece will reflect a different aspect of winter — Christmas, snowy winter scenes, winter flowers, winter poetry and even a few delicious holiday recipes!

Q: Is this course only for homeschooling families?
A: Although we are a homeschooling family, this course was created and intended for all children — public, private and home schooled — ages 8 and up.
Q: My child is not yet 8 years old. Will he be able to participate?
A: Only you know the abilities of your own child, but most of these projects are basic and could be done by children a bit younger than 8 (with your help and supervision). I will provide templates for many of the projects, but some will require the child to draw/paint/letter on his own and may, therefore, be a little more difficult.
Q: What if I can’t keep up with the pace of the class?
A: You may participate in this class on your own time and at your own pace. You are never behind.
Q: Can others outside my immediate family participate in Winter Wonderland: Mixed Media Workshop?

Q: Who is Alisha Gratehouse?
A: Alisha Gratehouse met and married her husband, Jason, at Bible college over 24 years ago. They have been in ministry for well over twenty years.
